Host & Runtime Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot from the outside in: host preparation, container state, persistent paths, startup output, and logs before moving deeper into STRATUM.
1. Reproduce at the failing layer
Identify whether the failure occurs during host preparation, container startup, controller startup, or later application operation. Troubleshoot that stage first instead of changing unrelated settings.
2. Check the host and container
Use Host Manager/stratum-host state, the running container, configuration paths, persistent state, and container logs to establish whether STRATUM was started with the intended host configuration.
3. Create a support bundle
If the host or runtime failure is not obvious from Host Manager and the container logs, use stratum-host to create a diagnostic support bundle. The bundle collects host and STRATUM diagnostic state so STRATUMvisor Support can investigate the problem without requiring you to assemble the logs by hand. Generate the bundle after reproducing the failure, then send the resulting .tar.gz file to STRATUMvisor Support with a short description of the operation that failed.
