Choose a Deployment Model
Choose the deployment model that matches the environment. Docker or Podman is the normal path; Kubernetes/OpenShift and additional platform packages are separate deployment options.
Pick the platform before following setup steps
For most installations, deploy STRATUM with Docker or Podman directly on prepared hosts. Kubernetes/OpenShift is an additional deployment option for environments that require a Kubernetes platform.
Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, VMware ESXi/vSphere, and bare-metal appliances have separate platform procedures because bootstrap, networking, storage, image delivery, and recovery differ by environment.
Docker / Podman
The normal STRATUM deployment path. Use Host Manager to prepare the host, load the image, configure the runtime, and start STRATUM.
