Select a stopped VM, promote it to a versioned Arsenal VM image, and verify it in the image library.
Turn a VM into reusable content
Promotion converts a stopped VM into a reusable, versioned VM image in Arsenal. Use it when a configured workload should become the source for future deployments.
Select the correct stopped VM, choose its destination template/image identity, and verify the resulting image in Arsenal before deploying it again.
Procedure
Promote VM Action
With the VM stopped, open its Arsenal promotion action from the VM image area.
Select VM To Promote
Select the stopped VM that should become the reusable image, then set the destination image identity and version.
Promoted VM In Image Library
After promotion completes, the new version appears in the VM Images library under its template family.
Deploy Promoted VM Image
The promoted image can now be selected from System Arsenal and deployed like other versioned workload content.
The outcome you should see
The stopped VM becomes a reusable Arsenal image and is selectable when deploying from System Arsenal.
