Data Layers control which operational overlays are visible on the Mission Planner canvas.
Control the operational overlays on the canvas
Open Data Layers when you need to show or hide operational overlays without changing the underlying datacenter topology. Use only the layers relevant to the task so the canvas remains readable.
Layer visibility affects only the Mission Planner display. Turning a layer off does not remove or reconfigure the underlying datacenter objects.

Mission Planner Data Layers
Open Data Layers and turn display layers on or off for the current task. Data Layers controls more than overlays: it can show or hide status pills, enable runtime-state coloring, expose traffic or operational visualization, and change how much live state is drawn on the canvas. These choices affect presentation only; they do not change the underlying datacenter objects.
The outcome you should see
The intended Mission Planner overlays are visible and unnecessary layers are hidden for the current task.
