Docker & Podman Overview
STRATUM is delivered as a container image. The host supplies networking, device access, filesystem paths, and services; Host Manager (the stratum-host application) prepares that host and starts STRATUM.
Container deployment
The STRATUM application is delivered as a container image, while the host provides networking, device access, filesystem paths, and the services STRATUM depends on.
Host Manager (the stratum-host application) is the boundary between host preparation and the application runtime. Persistent STRATUM configuration and data stay on their intended host paths so the application image can be replaced without rebuilding the datacenter by hand.
Resolve hosts
Set stable hostnames/addresses and verify resolution.
Stage STRATUM
Place the release on the host and launch Host Manager.
Prepare the host
Apply host prerequisites and load the application image.
Configure
Set runtime, network, certificates, GPU policy, and hardware access.
Start
Start STRATUM and watch startup through completion.
Sign in
Open the interface, install the license, and begin administration.
