Assign or move VM image storage between storage workers by drag-and-drop.
Place VM images on storage workers
Storage Fabric lets you assign or move VM image content to a storage worker. Drag the image to the destination worker to stage the placement change, then use BAKE to commit it.
The staged view represents the intended topology; the bake operation performs the actual storage placement. Wait for the bake to finish before treating the move as complete.
Procedure
Drag VM Image To Storage Worker
Drag the VM image from its current placement to the destination storage worker. This stages the desired placement change.
Bake Storage Placement
Choose BAKE to commit the staged storage topology. The bake operation performs the actual image movement or placement required by the new layout.
Storage Bake Complete
Wait for the bake activity to report completion before treating the new storage placement as active.
The outcome you should see
The intended storage placement is committed and the Storage Fabric reports the bake operation complete.
