Create a datacenter with identity, classification, placement, and coordinates.
Create the workspace for a datacenter
Create a datacenter before placing systems or networks on the canvas. The datacenter identity, classification, placement, and location metadata become part of the Mission Planner context.
When the new datacenter opens, verify the initial network context before deploying switches and systems.
Procedure
Create a new Datacenter
Enter the datacenter name and the classification, placement, and location values required by the environment, then create the datacenter.
Add Management (Cloud0) to the canvas
From System Arsenal, select Management (Cloud0) and add it to the datacenter. Management (Cloud0) represents pnet0—the host’s Physical Network 0. Add this network object when VMs, switches, or other canvas objects need a path to the host’s external/management network, then wire those objects to Cloud0 as needed.
The outcome you should see
Mission Planner switches into the new datacenter context. Management (Cloud0) can be added from System Arsenal when the topology needs external access through pnet0.
